21st Century Folk on Radio 2 is a celebration of folk and people's stories marking 200 years of the modern railway. Today, Jeremy talks to Siggy who arrived in the UK from Barbados in 1962 and has worked in rail ever since. He also speaks to the folk music legend Richard Thompson, who has written a song about Siggy.

The award-winning and pioneering 21st Century Folk series is back on Radio 2 this week with a celebration of music and stories on the Jeremy Vine Show. With Railway 200 as the theme 鈥� marking two centuries of the modern railway - we hear from five people who have an incredible tale to tell about their connection to trains and the rail network. We then set their stories to music as folk artists are inspired to write original songs based on what they鈥檝e heard.
