Adele Cliff, Glenn Moore and Urooj Ashfaq at the Edinburgh Festivals.
Len Pennie is in conversation with comedians Urooj Ashfaq, Glenn Moore and Adele Cliff, talking about their Edinburgh Fringe shows and the process of creating shows based on jokes.
Urooj Ashfaq comes from performing sell-out runs at Soho Theatre and touring Australia to perform her first full Festival Fringe run since winning Best Newcomer at the 2023 Edinburgh Comedy Awards. How to Be a Baddie is Urooj’s new show, and she tells Len Pennie what we can expect.
Glenn Moore's stand-up show Glenn, Glenn, Glenn, How Do You Like It, How Do You Like It was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award. He also toured the UK with his Edinburgh show Love Don’t Live Here Glenny More. Now he’s back with Please Glenn, Can I Have Some Moore. He tells Len all about putting that together.
Adele Cliff was the winner of Dave’s Funniest Jokes of the Edinburgh Fringe in 2019, 2018, 2017 and 2016 and was UK Pun Champion of 2020. Her show this year is called Adele, Adele, Adele… Cliff It Isn’t The Consequences Of My Own Actions and is, as she describes it, about lying and consequences... and also full of silly jokes. She talks about her new show and this year's Fringe run.
