The Belfast Tattoo, Linen Inspired Art and a Torpedo in Lough Neagh
The Belfast Tattoo, Linen Inspired Art and a Torpedo in Lough Neagh.
Helen Mark presents ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Ulster’s weekly Ulster-Scots magazine show alongside Rab Lennox and Willie Hill.
This week, Rab is in his element back stage at The Belfast International Tattoo. He chats with the musicians, dancers and organisers involved with the mammoth event at The SSE Arena.
Meanwhile, Helen visits artist Harry Coates who not only paints on linen – but, it turns out, has a long ancestry incorporating the textile and it’s manufacture. Also – Willie is on the banks of Lough Neagh having a look at a torpedo!
As always, listeners are invited to contact the programme with a good Ulster-Scots yarn or event to talk about. The easiest way to do that is by email - kintra@bbc.co.uk.
