Abandoned Buildings, Dalriada stories and an upcoming Trip to Narnia

Exploring abandoned buildings, an upcoming trip to Narnia, Lurgan’s Culture in the Park.

Helen Mark presents ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Ulster’s weekly Ulster-Scots magazine show alongside Rab Lennox, Jonnie Crawford and Willie Hill.
This week, Helen catches up with storyteller Colin Urwin to hear about how tales from Dalriada have inspired a new collection of mystical short stories. Jonnie chat’s with photographer Rebecca Brownlie about ‘Abandoned Ulster’ - the TV adaptation of her books which document long empty properties and gather the history of those there before us. There’s a flavour of Willie and Rab’s visit to the musical melting pot that was Lurgan’s ‘Culture in the Park’ and news of something coming up as part of ‘Leid Week’ in November - exploring the influence Ulster-Scots has had upon the work of C.S Lewis.
As always, listeners are invited to contact the programme with a good Ulster-Scots yarn or event to talk about. The easiest way to do that is by email - kintra@bbc.co.uk.
