Chichester's Belfast
The prosperity of the countryside due to the Ulster linen trade had a knock-on effect on small towns, such as Moneymore. Jonathan Bardon describes Belfast as a booming place of business, controlled almost exclusively by the Chichester family in the 18th century. (Broadcast: 10th Mar 1992)
