A selection of the best in jazz music.
Starting with Chris Biscoe and Tony Kofi with an album made just a few years ago with their nod in the direction of Eric Dolphy’s music. There’s another slice of the interview with young reed player Amy Roberts who is playing at the Pershore Jazz Festival this weekend. We shall be looking at another festival as well. This time it’s the first and it’s at Bromyard. I talk to Bev Pegg about his music and what he will be doing in Bromyard and there’s a sample of some of the music that you might hear there this weekend. There’s more from the talented Brownfield Byrne Quintet from near Oswestry. They're playing this Friday but there’s also news of an award nomination for Jamie.
