Contemporary tap dance - 'Tap Dogs'
Contemporary tap dance performed by 'Tap Dogs', with an explanation of style and rhythm given by dancers James Anthony and James Doubtfire. Short sections of repertoire show a dynamic, humorous and modern interpretation of the style. The exciting stage sets and use of props reflect the origins of the company in Australian steel works. We see explanation and illustration of simple 8 count rhythms developed into more complex patterns using syncopation and basic choreographic devices.
