Hip hop meets theatre

Dancer and choreographer Richard Banks or 'Banksy' describes the range of genres which make up hip hop. He explains that hip hop can be performed anywhere without the need for scenery. We see Banksy and two other dancers performing in a scrapyard, which also provides an example of dance for camera as the work could not be replicated in a live setting. To accompany his explanation of the use of narrative in this style we see an excerpt from 'Blue Flowers', which is based on the underground biologists of old London. Stuart Campbell and Mattie Bailey also dance.
