Playwright: Prisoners showed theatre's 'humanity'
The experience of helping prisoners write plays was "extraordinarily moving" says The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time playwright Simon Stephens.
He recalled one prisoner who said watching his own play be performed was the first time he felt his "heart beat".
Stephens said it proved to him the "fundamental humanity" of theatre.
