How surrogate mums could save this rhino species
There are only two northern white rhinos left in the world, but both are female. As they cannot naturally reproduce, vets in Kenya have created 3 northern white rhino embryos that they will implant into females of another rhino species, which will act as a surrogate. Jan Stejskal is coordinating the project and tolds ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ OS how this procedure may save the species from extinction.
