In October of last year, Chancellor Rishi Sunak annouced, as part of the annual budget speech, a new multi-million pound funding plan for Liverpool's waterfont.

As well as 拢2million for a new Beatles attraction, the package also included an additional 20 million pounds to be invested in National Museums Liverpool and the Tate.

Now, 拢10million of that is set to help the city's landmark gallery undergo a huge transformation.
