    Food Thursday - Sorrel
Sorrel
Ingredients:-
- 100g dried sorrel
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tsp whole cloves
- ½ tsp ground all spice
- 3 strips of orange peel
- 1.5 litres boiled water
- 150g sugar
Method:-
- Place all of the ingredients except the sugar into a pan and bring to the boil.
- Allow to boil for 2 minutes then switch off heat source.
- Allow to cool slightly and strain the liquid into another pot, discarding the sorrel and spices.
- Add the sugar and stir until dissolved.
