66. May - Planting posh beans

Down to earth advice on growing your own fruit and vegetables with allotment gardener Terry Walton, from his plot in the Rhondda Valley.

Down to earth advice on growing your own fruit and vegetables with allotment gardener Terry Walton, from his plot in the Rhondda Valley.
The temperatures are rising but Terry advises to stay patient when you're planting out tender crops. The aspargus is in abundance, but make sure not to harvest too much in order to keep the crown healthy.
In the greenhouse its time to pot the peppers into bigger pots and keep them warm to encourage growth. The tomato plants are going into bottomless pots in the greenhouse border and the canes carefully positioned at 45 degrees in another tried and tested Walton method.
And Terry plants Dwarf French beans for the first time in many years to introduce a new variety to his plot.
