"I was born and grew up in Australia and was raised in care from a young age. I knew both my biological parents were singers (dad was a blues singer and mum was a country singer) so it鈥檚 in my blood.

I have sang my whole life in different bands and as a soloist. I feel ready now at 40 that I am completely comfortable in my own skin.

In the past I have gone for auditions where I felt I鈥檝e done a good job but have been told that my image is not right. The Voice is a great show and I know it鈥檚 my voice and only me voice that will be judged"
