President Trump meets the Chinese leader Xi Jinping
President Trump described the meeting as 'amazing'.
The US President Donald Trump has told reporters that he’s had an amazing meeting with the Chinese leader Xi Jinping and that the world’s top two economies have come to an agreement to try to prevent a spiralling trade war.
We look at the Carribean islands dealing with the aftermath of Hurrican Melissa. It's the strongest storm to hit Jamaica in modern history, leaving behind it a trail of widespread destruction. At least two-thirds of the island is without power with some areas having been flattened. Catastrophic flooding has also been reported, with some towns completely submerged and rainfall totals reaching more than a metre in parts. We look at how emergency response units have been responding.
And we speak to the African Union about the ongoing security situation in El Fasher in Sudan. This week the Sudanese army lost its last base in the Western Darfur region when the paramilitary Rapid Support Force took control of the city.
