A Fish Kettle or a fine kettle of fish?

A very nice lady offerred me a very inexpensive Fish Kettle after my mentioning fish kettles. I think she wanted a stay on the croft myself.
Another lady asked me whether I had been able to get the washing dry. What a question to ask a single man!
I was talking on the telephone to my old aunt aggy in Glasgow about Frejya and she was asking when the wedding was - poor thing she never realised it was the dog.
I'm waiting for a part for the boat engine at the moment, 30 days and no sign of it, for a part that costs almost an arm and a leg, to be delivered for the price of the other arm and half a leg.
You remember that I couldnt stick the "Dogs are for life etc etc" label on the boat and it floated away, well its stuck to a rock at the foot of the croft, I thought must be an omen. Someone out there must be able to see a significance there.
Storm 10 and violent storm 11 expected soon it said, it arrived more like strong gale 9 to 10. Ive seen it worse.
A new pair of wellies required next as well, water leaking through the toe, I think a nice shade of green would be culturally correct wouldnt it. I'm trying to be green in every way and a birthday gift from my eldest son of a green wax jacket is on the cards, so I'm told.
Makes a change from the yellow oilskin and waders though.
