World Football

Available for over a year

Bayern Munich’s Arjen Robben and former Chelsea winger Pat Nevin look ahead to the Champions League final. We also speak to FIFPro Spokesman Simon Barker who calls for UEFA to change its rules regarding suspensions. The last time Hibs won the Scottish cup, in 1902, Real Madrid was only being founded and Theodore Roosevelt became the first American President to ride in an automobile. Some blame a gypsy curse for the long wait. Ahead of Saturday’s final against their Edinburgh rivals Hearts we speak to manager, Pat Fenlon, and the only survivor from the so-called ‘Famous Five’ forward line of the 1950s Championships-winning team, Lawrie Reilly. In the second part of our interview with Jean Pierre Papin…the former European Player of the Year looks ahead to Euro 2012. He dismisses the chances of the French - and says England will also struggle because the players will be too tired after a gruelling Premier League season. Athletic Bilbao are about to face Barcelona in the Spanish Cup final. Bilbao’s Sporting Director Jose Maria Amorrotu tells us how it’s impossible to compete with Barcelona and Real Madrid and how their only chance of success is in cup competitions. We also hear from players Oscar de Marcos and Javi Martinez.
