If you’ve driven to an airport lately, then there’s a good chance you’ve had to pay a charge to drop off passengers near the terminal. Charges have been introduced at London Stansted, Luton, Liverpool, Leeds, Bradford, Birmingham, East Midlands, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Southampton, Edinburgh, Belfast, Bristol, Newcastle and Cardiff. That is more than half of all the airports across the UK. Manchester is the latest, from July its been charging £3 for five minutes and then £4 for a maximum of ten minutes.
