This is the Wallsend People's Centre in Frank Street, Wallsend. Welcome to our page. We are working with the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ to help local people record their war memories - and to store them onto this site.

Do you have a memory of the Second World War or do you have a photograph or picture? If so why not come in and see us, work with our volunteers to record your memories for posterity. It is important that these unique memories are not lost to us.

You can find us just off the High Street and close to the Metro station in Frank Street.

Below are some of the stories we collected on our first day - 27th October 2004.
