How do you use Internet?
Today, I am going to speak about how I use some Internet resources. I don't mean I will speak about the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ guides to using Internet instead I am going to tell you how I usually use Internet in some special way. And I would like listen feedback from your way of using Internet.
Social media is one of the most popular activites online today. For sure all of you have listen some of this words: Blogs, social networks, Technorati, Google maps, Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare...
I started writing a blog some years ago as a way to store all tips, public documentation and interesting links in a site where I could access from anywhere. Sooner I realized that it was a fantastic way to give you more visibility of some of your skills. Remember, "in Internet you aren't what you say you are, it's what Google says it is.". So, do not you think it is important to take care of our digital life?
All people have a passion, yes this thing that excites you and what scares you on a small momment-to-momment level. Then write about it!. I like technology so I write about technology as a way to put in order ideas and connect with like-minded people.
Blog: This month I'm writing in the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ english blog in order to practise english with the best english teachers. Some years ago I were in London for one month and I wrote a blog with my month experiences. What would you like to blog about?
: Is a bussiness-oriented social networking site. It connect you with people with jobs like you. It's based on the idea of . I am connected with Barack Obama thorough three people!
: I only use this social network with my friends. We are all distributed across different cities. It is a good way to get connected and to arrange meetings. Recently I discovered a page of my old school college and I could remember old times seeing old photos. I got in touch with old classmates too!
: If you do not have time to write a blog you could write in twitter. This kind of service is known as: microblogging. I use twitter in a professional way to get in touch with people from my area. We could share interesting links and thoughts. Actually it's my main source of news in Internet.
: Some of the ways I use Google is to get help with english and spanish vocabulary. For example, which one it's the correct word? (in spanish means -I miss you-):
- te echo de menos
- te hecho de menos
In google Spain the google search "te echo de menos" show 7.760.000 results page where "te hecho de menos" show 2.910.000 results page. So "the echo de menos" is the correct one.
: Which one is your favourite video?. . Enjoy!
: Conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Together with the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ is a great way to practise english. I usually watch videos from TED and in the vast majority of them is possibly to view them with translation in several languages.
Today the topic was different and sort but I hope you will enjoy reading it. I would like listen how do you use some Internet resources.
And remember, wear sunscreen.

I enjoyed reading your message about various internet resources, it is very informative. I most often use internet for researching articles, using bbc blog and emailing. I also use Youtube occasionally and rarely use facebook. Use of google is amazing, you can almost find anything on google. Two things that you mentioned in your message Linkedin and TED which I haven't tried yet but intend to try them, they sound interesting. Have a good day. Negge from N. Ireland

It's interesting your new post. I use familiar simplest methods in internet: google and some definite websites with the version text only and e-mail, usually it's all i need to my work. Neither twister nor facebook and etc.
I have a question to you as the IT-specialist : i heard soon everyone apparently will have own online code given once and for all. I think, that's excellent idea. Could you tell me, what is your opinion about the point? Thanks.

Emat.

First time I've ever been to the UK in my life was something that really made me feel 'over the moon', one of the funny things, according to my friends, was kissing the wall of Bush House building in London.
I believe that listening is as important as reading when it comes to learning English, I've been listening to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ for almost 20 years by now.
Looking up new English words is almost one of my favourite habbits that I do on daily bases, it's Cambridge online dictionary that I encourage you to try; it gives you an examples of how to use a certain verb or a word in a sentense in addition to its correct pronounciation.
Here's the link:
I will tell you about my story when I couldn't understand one single word, in English, when a black cub driver was talking to me in my way to Charring cross / central London - it's be about cockney slang which I believe you're not in urgent need to learn it at all.
I do believe that to learn better one's got to learn more about the culture of people speaking a particular language, if you've got time for that I'd recommend trying to find and buy "Watching the English" by Kate Fox; a marvelous anthropologist that can share lots about the English culture and social behaves.
I hope that you're going to read my comment and perhaps find your way to the heart of this language - maybe you'd fall for 'her' like I do enjoy being an international citizen one day lol.
best regards ... ta ta fer now me mate

On the other hand, I think such resources are very useful for writing diary, sharing information and making friend in the world. In addition, writing on the Facebook and Twitter is one of the best ways to improve English writing skill. From now on, I try to learn how to use them to explore their benefits. Hopefully getting in touch with you and all friends in this blog to exchange information about various subjects in our life.

I loved this post of yours because I also think Social Media is a wonderful tool to be in touch with friends and professionals in my area. I use my twitter a lot, facebook, Orkut and I have my personal blog as well. It's really a great way to exchange ideas and information about everything you are interested about.
I also use Internet to study English. Some websites can help you a lot and it's so different than it was when I started studying English 15 years ago! I wish I had the same tools we have nowadays. Some websites such as www.bbc.co.uk, [Unsuitable/Broken URL removed by Moderator], www.livemocha.com and so on are really amazing. I also loved your comment about www.ted.com. I use this website a lot to improve my listening in English. The last speech I heard was from Steve Jobs, I recommend everyone to watch it.
Keep blogging and regards from Brazil!
