My Wishes

Hi Dominique,

Interesting post. I'm happy to play along, so here are my answers:

- My name is Lewis, but actually it isn't my first name. My first name is 'Simon'. 'Lewis' is my middle name. So why don't I call myself 'Simon' then? Well, that's a good question, and one I've been asked more times than I can count. Well, to cut a long story short, I simply like 'Lewis' and when I was old enough I just asked everyone to call me 'Lewis'. My mum and dad still call me 'Simon' though. I've also got a funny story about this that'll have you in stiches, but that's for another day...

- I'm happy being a male. I can't really get my head around what it must be like being a female. Best stick to what you know.

- Flora or fauna? Hmmmm....that's a toughy. I think it would be nice to be a big, strong Oak tree. They seem so noble and wise. But I think if push came to shove I'd have to be fauna. It would be too easy to say a Lion or Tiger, wouldn't it? I once watched a documentary about a Lynx and I thought it'd be pretty cool to be one of them. So I won't think about this too hard anymore and just say 'Lynx' (I do wonder what this says about my personality though - any ideas?)

- My favourite word in English? I like lots of funny sounding rhyming phrases like dilly dally and willy nilly. Do you know any funny sounding words or phrases?

- If I could have a super power I would have to choose the ability to be in two places at the same time. Is that a real super power though? Hmmmm...I'm not too sure but there is a real reason for choosing this. I'd love to be with my English family and my Japanese family at the same time.

Anyway, best get to bed. I'm in Chicago at the moment and have a big day ahead of me tomorrow. I just got here yesterday. It's a flying visit as I'll be back in the the UK on Friday.

Best,
Lewis

I have been living at the Japan, Sendai for 1,5 year. When I will go back my country, Turkey, probably I will have stayed at here for 6 year as you.

At the Japan, everywhere native English speaker. I go on english conversaitin(ei-kaiwa)class one hour at every week. I have had 4 English teacher. One of them is from Scotlant, two of them are fron England, one of them is from ABD and all of them are marrried to Japanese. As far as I know they tied the knot with Japanese at theire own country, and then they came to Japan. Japanese girl realy love english native speaker men.

    I more like to Japanese rhyming phreses then english word;
銇椼伆銇椼伆锛坰hiba-shiba/frequently), 銇熴伋銇熴伋(tabi-tabi/ same meaning as previos), 銇┿亶銇┿亶锛坉oki-doki/ sometimes), 鐢熴亶鐢熴亶銇椼仸銇勩倠锛坕ki-iki-shite-iru/ being full of life), 銇欍亴銇欍亴銇椼亜锛坰uga-suga-shi-i/refreshing), 銈傘仺銈傘仺锛坢oto-moto/ originally),
銇濄倐銇濄倐(somo-somo/approximitly same mening as previos), 銇犮亜銇犮亜(dai-dai/ about all of sth), 銇庛倞銇庛倞锛坓iri-giri/at the last moment, just barely),銇般倝銇般倝锛坆ara-bara/ scattered, disperse, loose, disconnected, in pieses, 銇曘伨銇栥伨(sama-zama/varius, diverse), 銇勩倣銇勩倣(iro-iro/same meaning as previos),銇仾銇仩锛坔ana-hada/very, greatly, exceedingly), 銇嶃倝銇嶃倝(kira-kira\glittre, sparkle), 銇樸倣銇樸倣(jiro-jiro/staringly, scrutinizing), 銇熴伨銇熴伨锛坱ama-tama/ unexpectedly, by chance), 銈銇栥個銇栥仺(muza-muza-to/easily).

One japanese friend of mine has told me there is more than 100 this kind words in Japanese. It is amazing. But I am disappointed that native English Speakers doesn't know even basic Japanese even though they are married to Japanese and have been living at the Japan for long time.

    Sincerely.

To be honest i usually do not like this kind of test ...I will try my best!
I am a woman and will stay as such and it is good so, even when often I like playing being a rough very strong man walking around and moving my shoulders from right to left and from left to right.

flora or fauna, that is right, ...the question is so difficult, what it comes to my mind it is a chameleon...why? maybe because it has the ability to change its color according to its environment...well, i do not have this ability, it is just that people also have this ability to change from busy to relax, from sad to happy from moody to funny and so son ...(also to cut the long story short)
my favourite word in English, none ...I mean I have none

and if I would have a super power I wish to heal wounds... no no it would not be a copy of the american series Heroes .. but to answer the question

and finally here I have a fly as a visit right now, probably I have to care of it

    cheers,

    xx

    Hi Lewis,
Oh yes, those are fun: Itsy-bitsy and teeny-weeny come to mind immediately, and hotchpotch... I heard them referred to as "ricochet" words.
Looking forward to your account of Chicago!

Hi Lewis! (I stay at this name) I was surprised with the Lynx option. The beast is almost unknown. Cautiousness and extremely good senses makes it hard and rarely visible in it麓s living area. I am fortunate this cat-species is still living in my country. As I am keen on walking alone in our hills and groves it gives me often very strong feeling of not being there alone. ( And that麓s the cheepest adrenaline sport in my view to which you do not need to buy anything just to walk out of home here.) Hm, what do you prefere on Lynx, its shynes strongness and smartness which allow it to survive unwatched in wilderness or that 麓sense麓 being and not being in the place at the same time. I do like other wild cats, too, the most to look in to their麓s amber eyes and admire its gracious movements. Nice weekend!
