History really speaks, I confess. Miguel, I鈥檝e heard the name of Machu Picchu much more than Peru. Yes, really. I鈥檝e a dream inside me to visit it, if I can. I think we鈥檒l see then. Thanks for the photographs. These represent the panoramic beauty of your country. Machu Picchu is excellent. Also, the beach of Lima looks so cool. Wow! It's only your first post but it's so gripping and informative that I just can't help wondering what your further entries will be like ;-) I believe we have a wonderful month ahead of us in your company.

The second language I'm learning at university is Spanish (well, to be honest right now I'm not very good at it) so all Spanish speaking countries are of great interest for me. I'm eager to learn more about Peru and its culture (no doubt that the culture is really rich). And I'm absolutely ready for this trip through the past :)

By the way, your English seems good. And you must be a great journalist - your style of writing, even when you write in a non-native language, is intriguing and it's very easy to read and understand.

I went to Peru once...but I went only to Titicaca Lake and Puno. it was so interesting, I have plans to go to Lima and of course Machu Pichu someday. That kind of Islands in Puno were amazing...it is maden by wood, the floating islands...I've never thought that I would meet something like that in my life.

No, Dia, I've never been to Hungary. You'll be surprised to learn that I've never been out of my country Bangladesh in my life. But, I'm really interested in doing it. I travel my country a lot. The green natural views especially after rainy season attract me the most, it often takes me out of my home. What about Hungary? Is it green? I don't know what will happen, but I dream that I'll be there, all over the globe, one day...............

I was looking at your pictures I though: what a paradox in both first pictures, both are made out of stone, both were or are important places for people (however you want to look them) they have a religious touch, they are both majestic. However, it seems as a link is missing.
Have you ever been in Macchupicchu? I can imagine screaming very loud. I wonder if you get the echo trough the mountains, can you also imagine being at the top of that higher mountain? It must be a real experience!!!

I love the colour of the dresses of the women dancing they look so much lively and the last picture gives the sensation as if you are flying on time

Argentina is a great country and yes, they are my neighbor, but remember that Brasil is very big and the distance between Rio de Janeiro - Brasil and Buenos Ayres in Argentina is long. I don't exactly but i'm afraid 3 thousand km or more.

Thanks everyone!! I am really amazed for all your comments. I read every comment that you have sent. I feel so glad, that everyone is really interested in my country.

Please forgive If I couldn't anwers your comments before, but this week was crazy. I lost the sense of time. In peru there are election to choose the next mayor. This is the first time that Lima city will have a woman mayor. Anyway I don't want to boring you talking about politics.

People usualy ask me How is Peru? You'll never know if you don't come. I invite everyone to come here, you'll never feel bored. Amazing places, beaches, rich culture, famous people like the writer Mario Vargas Llosa or the photographer Mario Testino, or The Miss World 2004 Maju Mantilla or the footballer Cladio Pizarro or Jeferson Farf谩n. They are from Peru.

Too many people love this country, because it's mainly a mix between traditional culture and modernity.

Thanks for your interest about Hungary. It's a little country in Central Europa, but it's very nice and interesting (but maybe I'm a little partial :)) I can tell about it a good deal, but I think this time and page is Peru's.
But I welcome to chat about anything with everybody on that webpage that Stephen offered, because I'm also interested in Brasil and Bagladesh, and the other countries too.

Anyway, I'm a bit worried about on-going ecological catastrophe in your country. As far I know the Toxic red sludge has already reached the River Danube. It's made the countries like Croatia, Serbia and Romania bound to draw up emergency plans.
