Have you heard about Peru?
First of all. Let me introduce me.
I'm 26 years old. I speak Spanish. I'm learning English. I'm a footballer (every Sunday with my friends). I'm a singer (only when a take a shower). I'm a good a boy (according to my grandma). I'm a writer (when a I feel sad). I'm a poet (when I fall in love). I'm a dancer (only in the discos). I'm a journalist (but I don麓t have a boss). I'm a recently blogger (for this month). My name is Miguel and I'm from Peru. (the country where Machu Picchu is located).
When the History speaks
When I have to talk about my country, it's impossible not to mention Machu Picchu. It's more than an important tourist attraction. It's located 2,430 metres above sea level and is in southeastern Peru. It was built around 1450 and it's considered as a masterpiece of architecture and engineering. Neither The Spanish could find that "Lost City".

Machu Picchu
For many years archeologists called Machu Picchu as a "Lost city of the Incas" because nobody knew about its existence until 1911 when it was discovered by historian Hiram Birgham. It was declared Peruvian Historical Sanctuary by UNESCO in 1981 and is one of The New Seven Wonders of the world.
Welcome to Lima
I am, currently, in Lima. This city is the capital of Peru. Lima is an historical and tourist place too. Particulary Lima, is a place that you'll always find a place to go.

Lima Cathedral
Every corner of this place has something to say, something to show, something to hide, something to discover.
Lima was founded in 1535 by The Spanish Fransico Pizarro. It was the most important city during The Viceroyalty of Peru. It is on the coast of Peru, overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Government Palace
I've always thought Peru has a bit of everything. It has Andes Mountain, Cost and Jungle. The main spoken language is Spanish, although a large number of Peruvians speak other native languages like Quechua or Aymaya.

Dances
We have a delicious gastronomy, very rich culture, traditional customs, dances, arts, impressive architecture, beautiful landscapes, romantic sunset, and the most important: friendly and very interesting people.

Paragliding - "Costa Verde" Beach of Lima
My challenge is not only improve my English, It's to show you my country and our culture through to the History. I hope when you have the opportunity to travel one place in the world you can choose Peru. You won't regret !
Today begins a long trip through the past.
Are you ready?

The second language I'm learning at university is Spanish (well, to be honest right now I'm not very good at it) so all Spanish speaking countries are of great interest for me. I'm eager to learn more about Peru and its culture (no doubt that the culture is really rich). And I'm absolutely ready for this trip through the past :)
By the way, your English seems good. And you must be a great journalist - your style of writing, even when you write in a non-native language, is intriguing and it's very easy to read and understand.

how nice to meet a guy from Peru!!! and to learn English with topics of such a exiting country!!!
I was looking at your pictures I though: what a paradox in both first pictures, both are made out of stone, both were or are important places for people (however you want to look them) they have a religious touch, they are both majestic. However, it seems as a link is missing.
Have you ever been in Macchupicchu? I can imagine screaming very loud. I wonder if you get the echo trough the mountains, can you also imagine being at the top of that higher mountain? It must be a real experience!!!
I love the colour of the dresses of the women dancing they look so much lively and the last picture gives the sensation as if you are flying on time
I am looking forward for more entries
best

So, surely I can have a plan, can't I? What do you say? Anyway, I'm pleased that you're mistaken with the spelling of my name? Can you guess why? This is because it鈥檚 provided me an opportunity to learn a new word 'Erroneously'. Thanks again, Ditta.
@ Natanael: Thanks. I鈥檓 happy that it鈥檚 drawn your attention. I really envy Marina having a good dynamic friend like you. Hey, you鈥檝e posted the poem only for 鈥楳arina鈥, ha? What about others (^_^)? Anyway, don鈥檛 you know that Svetlana is busy now (*_*)? I鈥檓 really surprised that you don鈥檛 know Argentina! As far I know, it鈥檚 your neighbor in terms of location and again it鈥檚 your rival in terms of Football game(^_^). I remind you that I鈥檓 a fan of Argentine Football (^_*)
@ Sero_03: Wow! What a delivery! I鈥檓 impressed at your imagination. Screaming loudly at the top of Macchupicchu, I can鈥檛 think what it will be. And, the echo? Really it will be an experience!!! To tell the truth you make me screaming myself in my room and thinking how it鈥檒l be there. You鈥檙e fantastic, Sero.
@ 蜜芽传媒_Fan: I do agree with you. Thanks for that. Anyway, I think Stephen has suggested a solution. So, hurry up, friend. Let鈥檚 move there.
@ Stephen: Hi Stephen, thanks a lot for your information. Anyway, what about our teacher blogger? We鈥檙e eagerly waiting for him/her. Regards.
Thanks to all.

Argentina is a great country and yes, they are my neighbor, but remember that Brasil is very big and the distance between Rio de Janeiro - Brasil and Buenos Ayres in Argentina is long. I don't exactly but i'm afraid 3 thousand km or more.
Football, sorry but Brasil is better. See the numbers...(^_^).
Bye dear friend,

Please forgive If I couldn't anwers your comments before, but this week was crazy. I lost the sense of time. In peru there are election to choose the next mayor. This is the first time that Lima city will have a woman mayor. Anyway I don't want to boring you talking about politics.
People usualy ask me How is Peru? You'll never know if you don't come. I invite everyone to come here, you'll never feel bored. Amazing places, beaches, rich culture, famous people like the writer Mario Vargas Llosa or the photographer Mario Testino, or The Miss World 2004 Maju Mantilla or the footballer Cladio Pizarro or Jeferson Farf谩n. They are from Peru.
Too many people love this country, because it's mainly a mix between traditional culture and modernity.
I'd like to have much more time to explain you all about my country, but you can help me,
If you are really interested in any special topic, plese let me know. I could write a blog about this..
It's a pleasure to meet everyone!!
*Hey marina, you are my twin soul, That's fun. I hope to see next comment from you
Bye Everyone !!

Natanael and Ashish,
Thanks for your interest about Hungary. It's a little country in Central Europa, but it's very nice and interesting (but maybe I'm a little partial :)) I can tell about it a good deal, but I think this time and page is Peru's.
But I welcome to chat about anything with everybody on that webpage that Stephen offered, because I'm also interested in Brasil and Bagladesh, and the other countries too.
Ashish,
This is a very good plan :).
I'm happy that I helped you to learn a new word. I'm just kidding :) Always there are a number of new words for me here. It's also one of the much reason why I like this webpage.
Bye,

Thanks a lot. I appreciate that you're being partial. It naturally happens, I think, due to patriotism.
Anyway, I'm a bit worried about on-going ecological catastrophe in your country. As far I know the Toxic red sludge has already reached the River Danube. It's made the countries like Croatia, Serbia and Romania bound to draw up emergency plans.
Is it nearby you, Ditta? Wherever it is, take care.
Thanks.
