i am english student and i can sure you that your mum is with you now, and i think this is a heartwarming thing for all persons that some family or friends have gone.

Good luck for everyone, but most important we need is work, hope and especially Love, because is this word so important that we can live in peace all around the world.

Hi dear Anita! I like the way you remember your mum and I was moved when I read about your anecdote. I thank God everyday for the fact that my mum is alive and well (despite her terrible bones pain) but I know that one day I won't have her and that I will miss her immensely. You know, we didn't get on very well when I was a teenager (that was the time when my dad died). But now that I'm an adult we understand each other much better.

How nice to be able to read a bit more about you and see a photo of you after having "known" you as a commenter for a couple of months! This is also true, of course, for most of the other names that turn up on this month's open blog. Having started to use this site as late as last spring, I don't really know anything about the bloggers before that time. So it's always a great surprise to find a blog and photos by people whose names I have become familiar with because I have read their comments.
I enjoyed reading your New Year's dialogue and I loved reading about your family who seems to be very "international". Of course, I feel tempted to ask why and how come that your daughter is in Brazil, but maybe I should just try and check up on the blogs of past years - although I've never quite managed to find my way around in the previous blog system.
Anyway, we really are neighbours - I live in the east of Austria - so you might even just pop round for a cup of coffee and a chat in English...

My Mum has 68 years and is very ill. Today she's going to Hospital and propably will stayed there 2-3 weeks.
Unfortunately I can't visit her because I living in other town actully.

#Elisabeth, you are right, I have already written about my daughter's stay in Brazil. In a nutshell, she wanted to live out her dreams of travelling and living abroad before pursuing her Master's degree so she went backpacking around South America in February 2009. She fell in love with Rio so she settled down there.
I like the idea of having coffee together and chatting in English. Have you ever been to Slovakia? If no, it is time to do it.
#Taru, I forgot to write in the blog that the photo was taken in our garden last December when we got lots of snow.
#Naheed, thank you too for your kind wishes. To be honest, I have not thought about the importance of luck before. Surely, it is important too.

I'm from Brazil and I lived in Rio for ten years. Now I live in the countryside. I miss the big city sometimes, but I like the calmer life of the countryside too.
What is your daughter studying in her master degree? Is it language?

You are very nice. It was great to be able to read a bit about you and to see your lovely picture.

Are she was a master chef as you are ? like Cristina my mother and me didn't get on well and it was the same until I got married . Now we understand each other better and she has a big roll in my life . Actually she is who taking care of my kids when I 'm at my work .I know it 's really hard some thing which is impossible for me 鈥�. She is so caring , kind , hardworking and 鈥�. I can't reward her properly for all her brilliant Job . Happy to hear about you and your family . In fact, I've been to Bratislava, but that was a long time ago with my student choir, when there was still the Iron Curtain and we thought twice before travelling to the east. Thank God, things have become much less complicated and now we even have the same currency, so my husband and I have for some time been contemplating taking a trip round Slovakia. One day we'll do that...
What about you? Have you been to Austria? If so, where have you been?
Do you know Baden, a little south of Vienna? That's the district where I live.

#Dear Elisabeth! I have been to Austria many times. We used to go shopping there at the end of the '90s. My family spent a week in a ski area near Klagenfurt and Innsbruck several years ago. I have not visited Vienna yet, more's the pity. I have heard about the beauty of the square of the magnificent Town Hall where the Vienna's classic Christmas market is. I wanted to look at the twinkling fairy lights last December but somehow we just were too busy and did not go. Maybe this year.

I'm a newcomer here, but am really touched by your post which has full of strong and warm family taste.
First, congratulations on your 25 years wedding anniversary in advance, i'm afraid i will forget to say in the autumne. hehe...
Second, salute to your lovely and kind mother though she has gone long time, as i know most of old aged people don't like to learn and touch new things, while your mom is an exception, i guess she must be an optimistic and open-minded and beautiful woman.
Third, envy you have both daughter and son, in chinses old sayiny, Having a daughter and a son is the happiest thing in the world for a family, no need more, that's enough.

Hi Anita! I have to disagree with you on the luck thing. I prefer to use the term 鈥淏lessings鈥� or the phrase 鈥渢o be blessed鈥� I am a Christian and I do believe in the power of God鈥檚 work in my life. It was mere destiny and fate for the persons in the Titanic. I would not classify that as having 鈥渘o luck.鈥� In addition, if you say 鈥済ood luck鈥� then you are implying that there is something known as bad luck. I beg to disagree. Luck is uncertainty; a rare opportunity. However blessing from God is available to all as once you are a true believer. Faith plays an important role in receiving blessings I am happy you shared your thoughts on the blog but see if you can consider my opinion.
