.Hi Catherine,

Yes, I had been to Goa two years before along with my friends . And it was real fun. We stayed there for almost 2 days. Evry morning we use to go to beach and swing by restuarent to take the breakfast and lie down on wet sand staring at the sky until it;s noon. Then we would start our expedition to explore Goa, to explore good wine/beer shop, to explore a good beach (as there are many beaches.).

During night we would go to pub. That's how we spent our days at Goa. Overall If you want me to rate the destination , i would go for 4 out of 5. Not very very good neither so bad. But particularly saying it has got very good atmosphere and natural beauty.

And one more thing i forgot to mention is tasty sea food. I would recommend you to visit the place during the month of December as they celebrate GOA festival in this month. And yes atleast just to justify the truthness of mixed report that you have received from your friend about GOA you need to visit the place.

And here is my answer to the homework:

Answer:..do Visit, Coastal side of Maharashtra state, where you will find some of the great forts which were conquered by ''The Great Chattrapati Shivaji"

    Hi Pravin,

It is my first time I have heard about GOA. Looks like nice place to visit and spend the vacation there. Personally speaking, the best part I like about beaches is being with my friend and guess what Barbecuing!

Before I post this comment, I Googled GOA. I have realized that there is a movie for a famous Indian actor called Bombay to GOA. It is for Amitabh Bachchan. This actor is very popular. Many people like to watch his films. I watched two movies for him, Toofan and the second one is Mohabbatein. The soundtracks for Mohabbatein are very nice.

Sorry for drifting away, but is there any chance if you could share with us the status of Cinema in India?

Another question please, on average, how many tourists does GOA receive annually?

    Thank you.

    Rafea

India is a diverse nation and when you are talking about Cinema of India, then you have take into account the Hindi speaking cinema i.e. 'Bollywood', the South Indian Cinema i.e.'Tollywood' and others like the Bengali Cinema popularly known as 'Kollywood'.Then there is Bhojpuri Cinema,Marathi,Punjabi and the list is almost endless. The Indian film industry is huge, infact it is the largetst in the world.
Bollywood ofcourse being the choice of the masses because of the language connection.
Today's cinema will have more emphasis on technology, animations, morphinng, etc. But the quintessential song and dance sequences in the cinema is still indispensable. You just cannot have a typical Bollywood masala movie without this and the most recent proof being the phenomenal success of the Salman Khan starrer ' Dabangg'.However, in recent times there have been movies that have been commercially successful even without these song and dance scenes. So in a way there is a paradigm shift taking place in the Indian Cinema arena.Talking of Bollywood will be incomplete without mentioning the 'Shahenshah' i.e. Amitabh Bachchan and the 'Badshah' i.e. Shah Rukh Khan. These are the two towering figures and actors of Bollywood and in the South you have the Tamil superstar Rajinikanth.
There is a lot one can write about the Indian cinema..it goes on and on!!
    Thank you.

    Hi Pravin,

I'm Rafeeque, basically an Indian.since last two years I've been working as a teacher in Maldives. I'm very happy to comment here, for very recently I started reading ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ learning English and more over I could start with your blog.I was very much excited while reading your blog that is about my own mother land. Really,it had given me the experience being there.I would like to visit those places next holidays . Goa is very near to my place and I was motivated to know more about India. Here I'm very grateful to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ because this would provide a chance all people to know each other. At the same time, helps to rectify our mistakes in writing language.

@Rafea: Hi Rafea, It’s really nice to know that you like Indian Cinemas.
Yes, you are right, Amitabh Bachhan is indeed a great actor in Bollywood.
Even Mohobbatein is one of my favorite movies. I would surely write something about
Indian Cinema. In fact you can go through English Pundit's comment as he has described
it in a very lucid and precise way about Indian Cinema.
About GOA, even I am not very much sure about the number but if you plan to visit the place then do plan you trip during the month of December.

@English Pundit : I am quite excited to realized that you know much about Indian Cinema. Also the way you have mentioned nearly every aspect about Indian Cinema in lucid way.
I may even write something just to give broader idea about the same.

    @Rafeeque
Hi Rafeeque, I have been very much fascinated by the Maldives. I will take it on board and surely swing by the place in nearby future. It gives me immense pleasure to read that someone on the blogging community is really touched while reading the blog. Looking forward to hear from you.

    Hi Pravin

Congragulations to your interesting blogs. I´m really looking forward to your comment about the Indian cinema. Of course Samira´s contribution is really interesting as well. I had no idea that Indian cinema is that multifaceted. I have known just the Bollywood movies so far. By the way: Bollywood is quite popular and successful in Germany, and Shah Rukh Khan is a star in my country.
