Hello. I'm Cath and I'm going to be the teacher blogger for the next few weeks. Let me tell you a bit about myself. Before I joined the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ I was an English teacher and writer. I was also a performer; I worked in a theatre company that did shows for English learners.

I travelled all over the world performing in theatres, classrooms, parks - even on a commuter train. I think one of the best experiences was a tour to Brazil. We travelled all over the country from Sao Luis in the north to Porto Alegre in the south. Now I'm a radio and web materials producer and presenter. My favourite part of the job is being in a studio recording programmes; I also love the travelling that comes with the job, going to new places and meeting learners. Recently I've been to Bangladesh and Egypt.

    Hello Cath,

I hope you're doing well. How great to see you looking, looking fantastic in front of the Pyramid in Giza, Egypt.

In fact, I have been there for a couple of times. Egypt is my spiritual home. It's where I used to live for a while. When I would feel like like going out, the first thing that used to come to my mind was the Pyramid Road, which of course is well known for nightspots and the belly dancing!

It's been good meeting you over this wonderful blog. My name is Abdisamad, and I am from Somalia. Currently, I live in Kampala, Uganda.

    Talk more later,

    Abdisamad

    Hello Cath,
I'm glad to e-meet you and eager to learn from you.
Cath, you mention you are also a writer, it's fabulous! Which genre do you write, fiction or nonfiction? Novels, books, short stories...?
If you worked in a theatre I imagine that you have participated in a pantomime anytime, Tell us a bit about your character.
    With my warmest greetings,

    Tadassa

    Hi Cath,

What a lovely picture in a beautiful place. Never been to Egypt but would like to go there some day. You are lucky to have visited so many places. I am sure you had a very good time visiting and meeting people from different backgrounds. In my opinion, more can be learnt from meeting people and visiting places than reading or any other way of learning about cultures. Would love to hear more about your experiences in different countries. Which country of all the places you visited would you recommend? Also, what was the most fascinating experience you had in a particular country? It will be great if you can share your experiences with us. Looking forward to your next blog.

    Take care

From my own experience what I can say is if a person can play two roles of a teacher and writer that can be done more effective activities .So we need know your creativity support for learning english from this site.
