The most watched Tv event in Russia ,in my opinion, is the president's New Year speach.To be honest I don't think many people really listen to what he's saying, because they are too busy preparing champagne bottle ,making up New year resolutions or maybe calling there relatives and so on.However I can't imagine this celebration without president's speech and striking of Kremlin clock,which annnounce midnight and the beginning of the New Year and maybe of new life!

I would like to speak about the most popular and most viewing that is talk show named Aaj Kamran Khan kay Sath. This show is a late edition for political enthusiasts, offering a daily news roundup.

This show is solely run by Kamran Khan who has a great back ground in journalism. He had established his reputation as a sharp journalist, with a serious demeanor to boot, Khan flew to fame with his hit show, “Kamran Khan Show. It’s very famous due to his straight speaking, openness, fairly talks and based on truth, the only live global news broadcast springing from a Pakistani channel and appreciated around the world. His expert opinion, in-depth analysis and an eye for detail has provided Geo audiences with constant updates and insight.

I always try to windup my all work earlier and at the show time I don’t want to get disturb therefore I often switch my mobile off to make sure not missed any word as I am not news reader and I have not much time to spend on just reading in news paper.

If you managed to miss out on the big stories throughout the day, no need to fret; you can get every update about the situation going on in Pakistan and so you will get more than you could have possibly missed out on.

I agree with Bana, who suggest that 'Aaj Kamran Khan kay sath' is the mostly viewed programme which is shown on Geo, Pakistani TV channel. I would also think that cricket is mostly viewed sport watched in Pakistan especially when Pakistan is playing. People are just mad about cricket in Pakistan and I am one of them. I love watching cricket but at the same time I am always very tensed when Pakistan is playing. I can't bear to watch them loose the but I guess it is part of the game and I just need to accept it that one team has to loose.

I would love to see 'Aaj Kamran Khan kay sath'. It sounds very interesting. Please tell us what this week's topic was, or does he focus on lots of different topics in each programme.

Cricket - wow! If it is a really big match (like the India vs Pakistan match recently) do you ever get any time off work to watch? My other half ('partner', 'husband') loves cricket too - but I'm afraid he doesn't get to watch as much as he used to.

Alice! Good day to you and many thanks for asking me little bit more about my most favorite talk show that is Aaj Kamran khan kay Sath as I told earlier that it is totaly based on political enthusiastic and daily news roundup.

Kamran Khan is very well known due to clarity and truth in his talk he gathers information from all over the world , after giving them a shape, he always brings that all holding updates to the notice of public.

Interesting thing about this show is that it’s usually point out or we can say that he predicts or we may say that he is the person who disclose the information, secrets and realities of political personalities which normally the other journalist sorry to say avoid, skip or perhaps can't do like him, even though most of the politicians says that Kamran is laying but later on all of his discussion has been proven true.

So via his show it has becomes possible for all of us to have maximum awareness about our country current situation that what is going on in Pakistan. This program is not only covering Pakistan but also providing latest News about the world also .This talk show specialty is that it’s always focus on different kind of topics rather to focus on one issue or one political personality thatsway it has become the most viewed TVs program in Pakistan and as well as in subcontinent.

Dear Alice I wish that you would have the opportunity to understand this talk show honestly it’s too much informative but before that you will need a little bit understanding about Urdu as this program is totally in Urdu. I really impressed by his stunt style of demonstration about the reality.

I just realize that Kamran Khan must try at least on version in English through which everyone can get a fair understanding over the world.

Now I am going to give him feedback about his program that he must try one in English.

In Bangladesh ,there is only one TV show which attracts all ages Bangladeshi viewer name "Etadi". It shows every three months later. Not only it entertains us by song ,drama but also it techs us morality as well as shows us unintentional mistake of our life by drama. The shows belongs to more than 10 million viewers.

I don't really know what was this year president's talk about, because I wasn't in Russia at New Year.
However he usually tells about essentiel events and achievements of the year and
and encourages us for the next year.We can see him talking against the backround of the Kremlin, but this video might be taken at a studio.
The speech lasts for about five minutes and I think it's pre-recorded because the president should be with his family at the moment of the translation(In Russia New Year is a family celebration as Christmas in Europe)

I really don't know what TV event is the most viewed here !
, I may be wrong about it, but I don't think a event can unite French people!
Some TV series unite a lot of people, but they are not amazing audience ratings!
For instance, a tv serie gathers around 5 million people all the evening!

However, I believe the wedding of Kate & William is going to gather a lot of French people! It is going to be wonderful, splendid... I am dying to wait this event :)

It is said that one personn of three around the world would watch this weeding, amazing isn't it?

Wow! That's an amazing statistic - one in three people. I really hope the weather holds - it will be so miserable if it rains, and we've had wonderful sunshine for the last couple of weeks which is quite unusual for England in April!

What about sporting events Emily? When France won the World Cup in 1998? Didn't everyone watch that on TV?

Mohammad - I would like to see 'Etadi'. I'm sure I would learn a lot about Bangladesh if I was able to see it.

Of course France support his football team in 1998 ! But we won the World Cup only once!
Sports like handball, basket ball are much less broadcasted than Football and rugby, whereas our handball team is amazing, (they are called "the Experts" :) )

How do the English people feel concerning this royal wedding?

(I am still around, Elizabeth, though I have been away on holiday for a couple of weeks, which was very pleasant.)

Emily asked about the attitude of the English to the upcoming Royal wedding.
Well, I would say the people are looking forward to it, though the newspapers and television are going over-the-top about it, as they often do over anything in the news.

There are some who complain about the cost, but it will be show off our traditions to the best advantage and I think people will be proud.

Just lets hope the weather is kind to William and Kate.

So glad you enjoyed it BebaMNE! I cycled down to Buckingham Palace on Thursday to soak up the atmosphere. It was wonderful. Lots of people camping out and singing. I didn't make it on Friday because my toddler wouldn't have liked the crowds. What did everyone else think?

Hi Emily, I agree with you about the cost of the royal wedding, I think it was excellent value for money and will encourage lots of visitors to Britain.
I switched on the television at 10 in the morning of the big day, intending to watch just for a little while and ended up glued to the screen until 2 in the afternoon, when I finally tore myself away to make something to eat.
I loved it all !

I've made the same thing- I switched TV on at 11 and I've been "drugged " there for 5 hours..I was crying, smilling..I was happy for them end it is nice -in those modern times , to see tradition and old-fashion manners ..I am big fan of tradition:)
I do not want to get into a plitics( I've read some articles on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ NEWS - where people approving or disapproving this royal ceremony) .
However, English Royal Familly is unique, and as Emily said- the money has been spent, but on the other hand they 've brought a huge income to whole England.

yes, it was an amazing wedding! The ceremony was sumptuous and the couple was beautiful. Nowdays there are so many sad news about tsunami, terrorism etc. People do need to have positive emotions. I was very pleased to see this wondeful event.

Hi Alice! The most viewed TV show in my country is Digicel rising Star. The show which encompasses a singing competition certainly grabs the viewers of my country. We are practically cemented in our seats in front of the television during the show. It is broadcasted on an annual basis. It is currently in its 8th season and every year it gets bigger and better, this year the organizers of the show has introduced three new faces. Two will be take the position of judges and the other will host show. I think it is very popular because of the time it is aired. The live broadcast is on a Sunday which is generally a day for relaxing in our country therefore it is enjoyed by families right across the island during dinner time I have made an effort of refraining to reveal the name of my country Alice can you tell me the name?
