Need more pictures and topics about our stunning and wonderful places? Well, I promise that I'm gonna talk about that next time after this. Just because I'm so enthusiastic talking about a bit of our Culture now. We Filipinos are friendly, technically educated, hardworking, honest and religious. There's more of that, I just want it to cut it to the chase. One the best example is Manny Pacquiao...
Manny is a Filipino boxer stands only 5 feet 6 1/2 inches tall a typical height of a Filipino which comes from the country side of the Philippines who managed to become a champion. His place is a southern part of the Philippines where poverty is serious concern. He dropped out of High school due to lack of support from his family financially led him to pursue boxing. He started his amateur career at the age of 14, professional? 16.
He has done a marvelous job that brought him into worlds no. 1 pound for pound boxer acquiring Titles that none of the boxers have achieved in the history of Boxing. Main Secret? I think faith in God, train hard, and never become arrogant.
Ending writing a bit of a history about Manny, I believe most of you that loves Boxing has subscribe on a Paperview already of the Pacquiao and Moshley fight May 7 US time. I think I have to tell you this, In Philippines even abroad every time Manny fights inside the ring, We are very supportive to Manny, praying, & watching the fight on the Tele. Businesses like retail Shops, and Transportations like Buses, Taxis, Jeepneys are slightly close and stop, Private cars are parked, you will find most of the roads that used to be busy are becoming empty . We are trying to gather in one of the places where we can watch the fight on the big screens or on the Tele.
Who do you think is going to be victorious tomorrow? I think Manny is likely to win that match. Power and speed are important in Boxing. What's your views?

Manny Pacquiao ooohhh my God. He's amazing, an extraordinary man as well as a great boxer. I can easily understand what happens in your country when he plays. It must be such a great event.

I must confess I had never heard about Manny Pacquiao! I love all sports, but the boxe is not one of my favourites. I usually see boxing matches only in occasion of Olympic games. I would like to read about other famous Filipinos: musicians, actors, novelists etc..

It's nice to see people be successful in their careers, specially if they come from a hard life like you described.
They're also a good stimulus for other people and a nice example to follow.

I'm from Guatemala and 25 years ago we had a excellente fighter called Mota Taracena, he was just 17 years old when he won his first competition internacional, he was the best of America Central in some time, but unfortunately our country doesn´t have support in this discipline. To be honest I am not a big fan of boxing so it is not surprising that I haven't heard of Manny before. But it is nice to learn something which I did not know before. From reading the comments above I found that Many has the won the match so congratulations. I am sure you are all pleased with his performance and proud of him that he is doing so well.
My knowledge about boxing is only limited to two people in boxing, Muhammed Ali and Amir Khan and now Manny is a new addition.
