Nice to meet you!! The Great Forest and the botanical gardens seem to be very idyllic, quiet places - ideal for studying. Your photos make me want to take a camera and a book and watch the frogs and spend the day in those parks!
Are you interested in singing? I'm asking this because I heard a choir from Debrecen at an international choral competition last year. Their name is "Vox Antiqua" and they did very, very well. There were two categories in the competition (folksongs and art songs) and the jury placed them second in both categories. I always take down notes and I've just looked them up: I entered a special praise for the beautiful, balanced sound, the rhythmic precision and the convincing dynamics.
So, congratulations on those musical achievements, Debrecen!

I read your blog. It is very interesting. It reminds my own University life. There are amazing places you always feel like to pay a visit or hang around. I always love to be at places of natural beauty. I live in Delhi, India. I am a regular visitor to Lodhi Garden which is in the heart of the city and near to my place. It is a natural park with monuments. There is a botanical garden inside also. Your blog inspires me to write.

It looks like the botanical garden in the city I live: frog’s puddle, weeping willows, old oaks etc. - peaceful and picturesque place in the centre of refuse dump called Samara city.

I was over the moon when I saw a Hungarian name as the blogger of June. I'm from Miskolc. When I was younger and during my childhood I travelled to Debrecen a lot, because my father had relatives in your city. But after my parents had divorced I didn't visit to there. I was 19, when I spent some time in Debrecen. I remember the Piac street, the open-air pool, the Déry Museum and I also visited the university at once. I attended the university in Miskolc. Yes, this time is a nightmare for an undergraduate, similarly to Christmas time.

I'm looking forward posts and good luck for the exams!

My complete name is Zsuzsa Kozma but in Hungarian I have to inverse it, so in my identity card you could see: Kozma Zsuzsa. That's our order of names.
hehe... it is really funny if I want to transmit the pronounciation because the 'zs' does not exist in English, as I know, it is perhaps similar to 'g'.
The 'u' is short and 'a' is low not as the English 'a', it is totally different.
If you pronounce 'r' there is a vowel in the pronounciation before 'r'; my 'a' is similar to that vowel, but not the best.

Thanks for your encouragements. Today I took an exam, it was awful and it was by the way an English exam and so hard :) But my French linguistics exam was great, I received 5, here it is the best. I told that to my French friend who was really scared hearing that, because in France, the measure of notes is not the same as in Hungary. I explained him that 5 is not really wrong here. :-)

Your shares are great and thanks for your describition:).As i know Budepeşt is famous for its statues from former times ,well what is your city famous for and some of my frıends have been budepest for their education as exchange student with the scolarship of Erasmus.İ did really want to come Budepest but my grades were not brilliant enough.Maybe one day i might visit Debrecen would you be a guide for me:)
anyway i wish you success in your exams. Being a undergradutes is really really hard work .

It's funny, I knew only Hungarian capital, Budapest, which I believe is beautiful. Thanks to Google (almighty Google) I have found your city and am happy to learn more. It looks pretty.
I just discovered Learning English blog and I find very interesting.
I write from Toledo (Spain), also here is a very typical holiday (next Thursday) which is the Corpus Christi). Adorn the streets and there is a Catholic procession.

This is Juan Carlos from Spain. I don´t know Hungary. Debrece seems a fantastic place to live and to study. In Madrid the winter is cold and the summer is boiling. However, we have two beautiful seasons: spring and autumn when you can hear birds, enjoy walking in gardens and the temperature is ideal. Streets are crowded with people and in my opinion these months are the best period to visit Madrid.

My name means lily. The name Zsuzsa originates from jewish, but I think my mother gave this name for me because at those time when I was born the name was trendy and she liked it. I think that is the only reason for it.
