Sorry there is a picture missing in the story, and so when you read "Look at this guy, for example", you can't see my picture at the earl's court stadium, during a match of female volleyball at the olympics, with a south korean flag in my hand :-)

Hi Zibaxa and thank you. i love to write stories but to write them in english it's really a different matter. you write it, then you read it, and it's never exactly like what you expected. but I'd tried it anyway. just to make some new mistakes! :-)

A fascinating Olympic tale. I felt as though I was watching a sci-fiction movie. Nice going!
Olympics is a major sporting event. After years of training, hard work and preparation, the athletes give in their best to bring glory to their countries. To represent one's nation in itself, is the greatest honour. As a result, they try to put in their best!
However, we should not forget that participation is more important than winning :)

Hello Omar! I enjoyed the story very much. You have talent and a rich imagination. I even feel jealous of you. I think that creating a story in my own language is already difficult... You think in your mother tongue and then will write in English.

Very good olympic tale. Very clear ideas and a stong message. I really like it. What I would like to add is that Olympics cannot give bread to the poor. They are actually enjoyed by many people over the world, but they cannot alleviate the sufffering of hunger of the majority of people, especially in the underdeveloped countries. I am not against the olympics. I myself enjoyed watching them on TV. I would only suggest that part of the income should go to the poor, aren't I right?

Hi Sumayya, thank you for your opinion, i particularly I care about those athletes of not well-known sports, people that train themselves far from the media, sometimes matching it with their proper work, and then show up every four years to let the world see what they are capable of!

Hello Sonia Durao, thank you for the compliments. Usually i write directly in english, but in this case i tried to write it before in italian, and then translate it into english, so i had to write exactly what i wrote before, and i couldn't have changed it just to use words that I already know.

Hello Elmansour, i agree with you, but I think that the olympic games could also help people from poor or unfortunate country to have something to dream, that is another kind of help and I also consider it valuable. In my next post I will try to explain what happened to me during the olympic marathon, a story that involves people from a very poor country, that were celebrating themselves and their new country. i'm curious about knowing what will you think on that.

Hi Pary, i used to write stories for my blog, but i closed it few years ago. My name is arabic, but there is no particolar reason, my father just liked that! I'm interested in visiting Qom because if I come to Iran, i'd like to have a look to every part of it, and I read that Qom is an important town for religion, i read that there is a more conservative approach there, so it could be interesting seeing different custom and practices into different regions of Iran.

For long time I have not been visiting this this site because usually most people talking about famous place of his country and I find it is boring.

Literature is always interesting for me and I enjoyed with your story. I exactly join your story's idea that there is positive effects of Olympics on the World peace and love among the World's peoples that make the World turns around.

It's been a while since I have been on this blog. I always enjoy participating here - I think it is the best way to improve written English - but due to my busy schedule I don't participate as regularly as I should. Anyway, I enjoyed reading your posts, particularly this one. You have written your post in a very innovating way - the tale was fascinating. You seem to have talent for passing a message through humor, I like your style.

Now, coming to your question, though I am not fond of watching Olympics, I watched some parts of Olympics this year - mostly the opening ceremony and a few other games. It was possibly due to the fact that it was in London this year. The little that I watched this year seem to have made me interested in it and it is highly likely that I will see it next time as well. It was very entertaining and there were so many games that I had never seen before.

Can't wait till your next post, I am sure it will be as interesting as this one.
