Radio Gloucestershire's Emma Cook and Kat Brown are in Paris to cover
Gloucester's game against Stade Francais. Read the second part of
their diary...
Bonjour
from Paris! We got up this morning far too early as I had to do the
sports bulletins from our ISDN point. It meant leaving our hotel room
at 6am and getting on the Metro - very odd and quiet at that time
of the morning.
Mammoth
journey
We're
both quite tired after the mammoth and somewhat stressful journey
so last night it was a caraf of red wine - well we are in France
- food and then to bed. Not exactly the glamorous journalist's life
I was expecting!
Nevermind,
we've already caught up with a group of Cherry and Whites fans -
they're recognisable because they are all wearing their red and
white shirts everywhere making them pretty easy to identify.
They're
really confident about the game tomorrow. Not sure I share their
enthusiasm - Stade Francais have only lost once at home in their
last 18 games and there's 15 internationals in their squad. Going
to be a toughie I think...
Over
the next couple of hours we're expecting over a thousand red and
white shirts to descend on Paris - it's been described as the Shed
going on tour so that'll be a lot of fun tonight.
A
look around Paris
We're
spending the morning having a look around the city to make a guide
on what to do if you're a rugby fan and you come here. Then we're
going to meet the manager of Stade Francais to get all the latest
on the opponents - I'll try and get some insider gossip!
