Bob Willis' widower on finding out he had prostate cancer
Lauren Clark, Bob Willis' widower, tells 5 Live about his diagnosis with prostate cancer.
Bob was a former England bowler and played 90 Tests before turning to broadcasting. He died in December 2019.
Lauren has now set up the Bob Willis fund to raise awareness of prostate cancer.
The Gleason score examines the pattern of cancer cells in the prostate tissue, and how they look and act, compared with normal cells.
"His Gleason was nine out of ten which is really aggressive", Lauren said.
"Not that they ever said this, but it was a terminal diagnosis and he had to go onto chemo.
"We managed to live quite a normal life but he didn't really react to them".
