ѿý producer opens up about her experience of Tourette’s Syndrome
ѿý producer Isabel Kimbrey has Tourette’s Syndrome, she was diagnosed at the age of 7, but hasn’t spoken publicly about it until now.
5 Live is investigating the available care provision to diagnose and support people with Tourette’s.
Figures reveal only one in five of the NHS Mental Health Trusts and Boards in England and Wales provide at least one specialist in disorders.
Having Tourette’s can come with attached stigmas – Izzy said – “it’s often seen as the swearing disease or the punchline of the joke… it’s none of those things”.
