Former Team GB hockey player, Alex Danson-Bennett spoke to Nicky Campbell about her life-changing head injury.

Alex hit her head whilst on holiday which led to her being diagnosed with a mild traumatic brain injury.

After captaining Team GB hockey, because of her injury, she called time on her career in 2020.

鈥淭he physical symptoms were terrible and completely life changing.

鈥淚 still believe I get better everyday. I choose not to listen to anyone who says otherwise.

鈥淭hat鈥檚 for me to personally go on that journey to say I will recover, it may take time but I鈥檒l get there鈥�, Alex says.
