Endometriosis: 鈥業 was feeling like a burden, feeling like it was all in my head鈥�

Dearbhail Ormond suffered with endometriosis for almost 20 years before getting diagnosis and has since founded a company to help other women who suffer with the condition.

Speaking to 5 Live鈥檚 Naga Munchetty, she explained what impact endometriosis had on her before getting diagnosis.

She said: 鈥淚 was feeling like a burden, feeling like it was all in my head.

鈥淚 remember the isolation the most above everything else.鈥�

Dearbhail also said that she was affected 70% of the month up until she had a hysterectomy.

According to the charity Endometriosis UK, 62% of women aged 16-24 and 75% of men of any age 鈥� don鈥檛 know what endometriosis is.
