Naheed

Time to talk about those cute friends who, with their small sizes, bring great happiness and joy to our lives. They possess such a pure aura that infuses our surrounding with a lot of positivity. Teacher Jo talked about them a lot when she blogged back in June/July 2007 and also shared so many photos with us all. I too want to talk about them and if some of the old friends will remember, I shared a picture of my dearest cat (call him Chhotoo :-)) in last year's open blogs. Since the day he came in our home, our love affair with animals has become a never ending tale of funny little things.
Here's a shot of Chhotoo. Isn't he photogenic?

Cat

After living close with them I've learnt that they are happy in all likelihood and are thankful to what they are given to eat and to live. They have feelings and emotions, they feel pain when they are hurt and feel happy when they get a stroke filled with affection. I sometimes think that how could those people be like who don't love animals? Unfortunately, there are some people in our surrounding who never let go a chance to stone a cat or dog, what a pity!
It hurts me when I see a dead animal on the way and the thought sorely hurts me that there is not a small piece of land to burry this poor little thing. Not only this, the irony is that the people hardly ever feel like to give it a thought.

I am all here to talk about animals in this post and probably the last post of the open blog. I would also like to share the pictures of some kittens that we - I and my sister - started looking after just after we came to know that their cat mum had delivered them in the compound of the place we live. They were born on 14 February 2010. They were 2 feline sisters and two brothers. We named them Snow and Floppy (girls) and Golden and Tiger (boys). Their names are cute, aren't they? Here's a picture of them:

Cat

The luck had something else with it for them. Snow passed away in an accident when she was 3 months old and just after the three months of her passing, Floppy left us in tears forever at the age of 6 months. The luck still wasn't in their favour and Golden went missing on 1st November forever when he turned 9 months old and lastly Tiger is missing since 25th January and we just pray that may he not become a mystery like his brother. I really hope so not and I wish we see both of them again.

Cats

It was just a small story I shared with you all about our kittens as how they left us. I'll come back to the reason to write this blogpost which is to spread this message world wide that animals too deserve love and care just as we humans do. Their stomachs are always empty, I always find them looking for food or something to quench their thirst. They are separated from their mums and I see loneliness in their lives infact when I see them I can feel it just when I put myself in their place.

I just want to say that when you fear that the leftover food will straight away go to the bin, don't throw it and feed a hungry animal instead. I do this and even few days ago when I was the only person left to eat the dinner, my mum asked me if I would eat rice or she gave them to pigeons. I happily decided not to as I thought that a plate for me would become a meal for many and ate bread instead. I was immensely happy to do so and very satisfied too.

It will be unfair if I don't share the lesson I have learnt from cats. They are curious for sure and they never give up trying until they not only succeed but also mastered on it. So as it's said 'Try, try and try unless you succeed.' But I have changed it to 'Try, try and try unless you mastered'. And not to forget that pigeons teach us the lesson of peace and where else you will find so honest like a dog. So when we sum up all these qualities and adapt ourselves to it we can be the best humans.

Why not share a photo of a pigeon and a dog too?

Friends

I would like to share the words of a friend of mine who loves animals very much.
She says: 'Every animal deserves a home'.

Before I say bye, I would like to thank all those lovely people who commented on my first post of the open blog and shared their word.

With this I wish you all happiness, love, health and wealth. Don't forget to drop in a line to share your thoughts about animals.

Dear Naheed! I am not surprised you has taken the last word even what the topic. Defending poor animals! That´s what your briliant character is. Jo would certainly be proud of you. Thanks for sharing the kitten story though it was sad. They are really cute and helples on the shots. Yes, yesterday on our local TV went documentary about damages due to poaching indian tiger, that diminishing species. I couldn´t stand to look it to the end that was so cruel and sad story, too. Before that, in the aftrnoon on my walk in the forest I met there three red deers walking from the feeder in the snow. The smalest one was somehow feeble couldn´t walk quickly and gave me a long look as I was almost the same with my walk on the snow. My best greetings to you! PS: the pigeon picture is still there in my room I may look at it when I lie down in bed!

Naheed, my stomach also turns up and down, if I see a dead animal that has been for example run over by car. Let us keep in touch :)

    Dear Naheed,

What an important topic you have written about! You have shared with us your values, attitudes and behaviour towards animals. Thanks.

It is without a shadow of a doubt, you love animals and animals love you. We all know that you are all heart and you have a heart of gold. I do not want to write a cliche-ridden comment but I must say that if there were more people like you, then the world would be a much more wonderful place.

Have you ever thought about building or running an animal shelter?

    Take care,
    Anita

Marianna, thank you loads for such a lovely comment my dear. And I still do remember you telling me about the picture of pigeon. I hope your love with painting is still at its peak. I wish you lots of happiness and thank you so much for writing your comments.

Pari, you must have read Jo's entry by now:). And I hope my post on the last day of the open blog surprised you. I love animals and I really wanted to share my thoughts with everyone out there.

Hello a girl from Oulu:), thank you for sharing your word. It really hurts me when I see a dead animal on the way, and now I have made it that whenever I see something like that I would not neglect and will find a proper place to put it there and respect it.

Anita, thank you so much for such a kind comment. You all are examples for me to love animals my dear. And yes, I and Fatima have thought that we will do something in the future for these lovely creatures so that they too have a home to live and something proper to eat. I wish our thought takes the face of reality.

Carrie, thank you so much for making our day!

    Beautiful blog dear Naheed!
I totally agree with you. I think that animals are like kids. They are innocent, faithful, eager to learn, full of energy. They also need love to grow up healthy.
Your cats are so cute. So are the names you put them :-)
From my point of view, people who never had an animal as a pet in their home doesn't know what we are talking about.
If, for example, I'm watching a movie in which an animal dies I can cry a lot and feel a deep sorrow. If in the movie a human being dies, I realize that it's a movie and I don't cry.

Hope the missing cat will appear soon.

    See you and take care,
    Cris

I am a bit touched to watch your blog. Every animal has their life indeed. When people want to raise animals,Think carefully before making decsion.I hope they treat them like person. They have their family and home.I live an Estate in Hong Kong.I sometimes see some cats around the place. But some people who are very helpful and kind. They feed the cats.
