It's hello for the last time, Paloma! I'm pleased you enjoyed your trip to London and that the sun shone on you. It's been scorching for the last few days, but today it's chucking it down again. It's a good thing you came when you did otherwise your holiday snaps might have looked like this.

USEFUL VOCABULARY

• Scorching - very hot.
• Chucking it down - an informal way of saying 'raining very hard'.
• Holiday snaps - photos from your holiday.
• Take on life - your way of thinking about the world.
• On the road to - likely to achieve something.

    Hi Neil,
    I have been reading of your few blogs and found it very useful due to rich vocabulary i am learning. Scorching and chucking it down is most frequently used by the native english speakers and few days ago i just came to know the meaning of thse two words. Nonetheless, i forgot the exact meaning of those words and now i got another opportunity to refresh my memory.
