I just read your message and I prefere to reply immediately to some writing practise.

Here are my homeworks:

1) My uncle is a professor of Chinese at the university of Edinburgh. Students call him professor Jones but I call him uncle Steven. He spent a long time in the east studying Buddhism.

2) In this weekend I'll be at home, because the weather forecasts aren't good. Like every Saturday I'm going to the swimming pool with my children, than I'm going to the department store to buy some food.
On Sunday I'm going to the Church with all my family, as usual than I'll be at home to study some more English and to eat some delicious dishes that my wife I'm sure will prepare to us.
As you know nothing in particoular but not less special, because to stay at home with your dears is always a great thing.

When I was a young student I hated homework, but I feel differently with this homework here. I like it because I feel like I am back in my school days....

2)Since I don't have a full time job anymore, there's not much differences between week days and weekend for me. We, my husband and I, prefer to stay at home at weekends because people crowded wherever we go...that makes me feel lonely at times...After resignation of my job, I started to like weekdays than weekends....^^

I'm for the first time on the teacher's board and how it seems to me, it's very enjoyable.

2) today we celebrate San Martino (really S. Martino is 11 November but it is celebrated the first saturday after) with some delicious dishes. One of that is the "crispelle" one sort of fried pastry filled with walnuts or chocolate and covered with sugar. Also taste our vintage wine....very good....Tomorrow, Sunday, I'm going to the sea with my dog for a nice walk on the beach.

thanks for explanation about how to capitalise in English. My week end has not been really unwinding, if you mean to do nothing, to rest all day and maybe to try to recharge your batteries reading a good novel - even a novel by Nick Hornby or, considering that you know the Italian, a good novel by Alessandro Baricco.

In fact, I started the first lesson of "Marketing and Communication Master" in Rome Friday afternoon and I finished today at 6 pm o'clock. It has been very challenging for me if you consider that I've never studied this topic (marketing I mean) and I had to run into more difficulties about the use of technical language. But it was really exciting for me to get in a new "world" to improve my knowledges. I can't wait to do the new lesson in fortnight!

And even if my head is splitting now, because I'm tired, I'm happy. And this is another effective way to feel distress. But it's not always workable!! And now, just now, I'm happy and I feel good, because our Prime Minister Mr. B. has just left the assignement. The Italy is free! And I think that maybe the new Government with Mario Monti won't be possible, but at least we'll be able to go to elections and change our delegates. Keep us fingers crossed!

Saturday morning I got un early and I studied English for a short time. I did tasks an cooked the meal while my children did their homeworks an my husband helped them. In the afternoon, I taked my children to the the cinema and my husband stayed at home resting because of a cold. The film was awful: I got very bored and my six years old son felt slept , but my nine years old girl liked it.
When we went back home by walking, the sky was pretty beutiful: there was full moom and the clauds ran pushed by the wind.
Sunday I read The girl with a Dragoon tatto by Stieg Larsson, in English, for a long time. In the afternoon I went out for a walk whit a friend.

My weekend will be started earlier than ever, as i am not used to getting up early, so my husband and i are thinking of going to the forest and have a long walk.we love just getting in the car and go as far away as possible from the City and its mad noises .I feel like lying and just listening to the tremendously wonderful pieces of music made by birds to the point of sleepiness. I also hope that my husband will give me as much care and love as he can because i really need this little vacation to get rid of my extreme stressful sensation!

this is my first comment on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Learning English blog. My name is Nina and I am a student of English literature/linguistics and French at the University of Hamburg.
I'll start off with the homework aswell :

(2)Hamburg is a very lifely and big city, which can be very stressful. Hence, this weekend a group of friends of mine and me are taking a trip to a smaller city, visiting another friend who is about to leave to Australia for a year. I'll be visiting my aunt and uncle there, too. They have a large house with a fireplace and I will be working on Shakespeares " A Midsummer Night's Dream" for my class next week in front of it. I hope this will help stripping off the stress of the last weeks!

In answer to your question about how to unwind, I do study as someone else also said. Reading something of your choice actually helps relax. I also like to dab a light and airy fragrance to relax and then take a short nap, this helps me forget all the stress that freezes my ability to get to the conclusion and also helps recharge my batteries to think better.
