Ukick
After being made redundant twice during the last recession and struggling to really find that security in the job he wanted to pursue, David undertook a masters in International Business with Entrepreneurship mainly with the goal of meeting 'like minded' people who were serious about starting up a business of their own.
This was where UKick was born, taking an idea from travelling and starting to make it a reality!
My main aim is to get everyone involved with UKick and make the world a more fun placeDavid Robson
David says that "applying to BYOB seemed like a no brainer idea. What did i have to lose at the end of the day? After all I was working for free at a marketing firm t build up my CV and also in exchange for marketing UKick. I never expected to get as far as i have and the whole process has really made me concentrate on the business - the seed capital proving invaluable for helping get the business up and running."
He has always wanted his own business from a young age; from creating his own cross words and comic magazines at the age of 7 to carrying his ideas book everywhere with him and scribbling down any idea that came to mind.
Now that he has actually set up his business and it's really starting to take off (UKick has now gone international) he could not be happier as he is in control of my own destiny which is something working for other people has never given him.
