Ellie Goldstein, the trailblazing model, author, and actress, is bringing her talent and determination to the Strictly dancefloor this season. Born in Ilford, Essex, Ellie overcame early challenges, including heart surgery as a baby and doctors’ doubts about her ability to walk or talk. By age three, she was speaking, walking, and reading, and she discovered a love for performing from a young age, appearing in productions at the Royal Opera House and Royal Albert Hall.

Ellie began modelling at 15, quickly making history as the first model with Down Syndrome to appear on the cover of British Vogue in May 2023. She has worked with brands including Gucci, Nike, Adidas, Victoria’s Secret, and Mattel - launching their first Barbie with Down Syndrome. Ellie has also released two books celebrating inclusivity and resilience, and in 2025 made her acting debut as Nancy in C蜜芽传媒’s Malory Towers. Her work has been displayed in the National Portrait Gallery and featured in high-profile campaigns, cementing her as a role model and advocate for representation.

Dance has been a passion for Ellie since the age of five, with experience in hip hop, street, and contemporary styles. A devoted fan of Strictly, she claims to have never missed an episode and has been watching dance tutorial videos online to prepare. Off-stage, she enjoys spending time with her family and her cocker spaniel, Poppy, and is excited to bring her energy, creativity, and joyous spirit to the ballroom.

With her history-making achievements, dedication, and infectious enthusiasm, Ellie is ready to shine on the Strictly dancefloor, inspiring audiences and showing that talent and perseverance know no bounds.
