Meet La Voix

La Voix is best known for finishing runner-up on Series 6 of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK in 2024, where she dazzled viewers with her powerhouse vocals, razor-sharp humour and glamorous stage presence. Born Chris Dennis in Stockton-on-Tees, La Voix discovered her love of performing at school, before moving to London at 18 to pursue her dream of a life on stage. She studied drama at Brunel University and later trained in Musical Theatre at the Urdang Academy, before an unexpected singing job at Soho’s famous Madam Jojo’s saw La Voix make her debut in drag - and a star was born.

Her career since has been as varied as it has been sparkling. She appeared on Britain’s Got Talent as lead vocalist with The London Gay Big Band, reaching the live Semi-Finals, and went on to feature in Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie alongside Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley. In 2021 she placed fourth on Graham Norton’s Queen of the Universe, and in 2022 returned to television as a mentor on ITV’s Queens for the Night. Her unforgettable run on Drag Race UK the following year, where she won four RuPeter Badges, made her a household name and one of the most celebrated queens in the show’s history.

Beyond television, La Voix has toured extensively with her hit live show, bringing her voice and comedy to audiences across the UK and abroad. She has performed for the British Royal Family at their New Year’s Eve Ball - twice - and has taken to the stage on over 100 cruises worldwide. Along the way, she has interviewed entertainment legends including Dawn French, Joanna Lumley and Su Pollard, cementing her status as one of Britain’s most versatile entertainers.

Now stepping onto the Strictly Come Dancing Ballroom, La Voix says she’s ready to swap the microphone for the mirrorball. Known for her wit, charm and undeniable stage presence, she’s hoping to bring as much sparkle to the dancefloor as she does to the stage. Whether it’s a Quickstep, a Samba or a show-stopping Cha Cha she’s determined to keep audiences entertained and add a Glitterball trophy to her already glittering career.
