Meet George Clarke
George ‘Clarkey’ Clarke, the social media star and podcast host, is bringing his humour, energy, and competitive spirit to Strictly Come Dancing this season. Born and raised in Bristol, George studied Sports and Exercise Science at Exeter University before building a career as a content creator, amassing millions of followers on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. He is best known for his viral situational comedy, reaction videos, and point-of-view clips, as well as his #1 UK charting podcast, The Useless Hotline, which he co-hosts with Max Baledge.
Since launching The Useless Hotline, George has taken the podcast on a sold-out UK tour, performing at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire, Reading and Leeds Festival, and the Edinburgh Fringe. He has also competed on Netflix’s reality competition Inside, finishing fifth, and scored in the Sidemen Charity Football Match at Wembley, helping raise over £4.7 million for charity. A collaborator with popular British creators including the Sidemen, George has carved out a reputation for his comedic timing, quick thinking, and relentless energy.
Off-screen, George is known for his competitive streak, love of sports like hockey and rugby, and devotion to his family. His nan, a lifelong Strictly fan, will be voting for the first time this series. George’s grandad will also be celebrating his 80th birthday during the show, making the season extra special for the family.
As a Strictly fan, George has been preparing for the dancefloor by studying routines online and putting his athleticism to the test. With his infectious humour, energy, and charm, George is ready to take on the Ballroom, showing fans that his talent isn’t just online, it’s ready to shine under the Strictly spotlight.
